Eerie Books Events

Eerie Books, the actual store, is no longer open, so we don't have any events scheduled. This page serves as an archive of the events we held at the store when it was still open.

This is our constantly updated calendar of events (book signings, author appearances, book club meetings, etc.) at Eerie Books. The events below are listed in order of when they'll happen.

Pontypool Changes Everything by Tony Burgess

Pontypool Changes Everything by Tony BurgessThursday, July 1, 2010, 6:30pm

The Wylie Horror Book Club will be discussing Tony Burgess's novel Pontypool Changes Everything. An apocalyptic virus spread through words causes thousands of people to go on a cannibalistic killing spree. Pontypool Changes Everything follows the stories of multiple bizarre characters during this zombie apocalypse type event. As always, the discussion will be accompanied by food and drink.

Horns: A Novel by Joe Hill

Horns: A Novel by Joe HillThursday, August 5, 2010, 6:30pm

The Wylie Horror Book Club will discuss Joe Hill's most recent novel, Horns: A Novel. The main character wakes up with a hangover (and horns) one morning. He soon discovers that along with the horns he has the power to force people to admit brutally honest details and secrets. Horns: A Novel was chosen as one of Amazon's best books of the month in March 2010, and it was well warranted. And, as always, the discussion will be accompanied by food and drink.

Updated on May 13, 2010

Thursday, May 13, 2010 -- Horror author John Everson is doing a signing at the bookstore from 6:30pm until whenever. Last month's book club selection was The 13th, so if you were at the last book club meeting, be sure to come get your copy of the book signed. We'll also have several of John Everson's other books available, as well as food and drink.

(Also please note that we've updated the book club page.)

Vampires VS Werewolves

On Saturday, July 18, 2009, Eerie Books will be hosting a signing with Gabrielle Faust and Steve Wedel. The guests of honor will arrive at noon, so be sure to mark your calendar. We'll have plenty of copies of both authors' books for sale, and as always, we'll be serving a variety of refreshments.

Horror Book Club

I've posted details about our reading group at Horror Book Club. I'm sure someone in the horror book club will want to read at least one of the Twilight books by Stephanie Meyer.

Grand Opening

Details about our upcoming grand opening celebration, and Angeline Hawkes' appearance on October 18, 2008, can be found on our homepage. (Click on the "Horror Books" link below.)

We also have plans to host more author signings, horror gaming events and parties. As we schedule those events, we'll post about them here.
