Twilight Books
The bestselling Twilight books are written by Stephenie Meyer and deal primarily with the romance between Bella Swan and a vampire named Edward Cullen. While the series is aimed at young female adults, it has found success across many demographics. Worldwide, the Twilight books are estimated to have sold over 17 million copies, with that number continuing to rise.
Books in the Twilight Series
Four books in the Twilight series have been released, and others may follow in the future. Below, I’ve included a brief description of the plot for each novel (no spoilers included). Other books in the Twilight series include both a guide to the film adaptation and an overall guide to the Twilight universe.
Twilight - In the first book of the Twilight series, the awkward Bella Swan moves to Forks, Washington. She is soon drawn to the mysterious Edward Cullen, who is later revealed to be a vampire. Another clan of vampires arrives in Forks, and they are intent on drinking Bella’s blood. Edward is the only thing that stands between Bella and a horrible fate.
New Moon - The second of the Twilight books, New Moon deals with the budding relationship between Bella and Jacob Black, a werewolf. An evil vampire named Victoria appears, and she seeks revenge against Bella for events which occurred in the first Twilight novel. Edward Cullen is also featured, although he believes his presence presents a constant danger for Bella.
Eclipse - The third of the books in the Twilight series, Eclipse features the return of Victoria and her continuing quest to kill Bella. Our heroine is also forced to choose between her love for Edward Cullen and Jacob Black.
Breaking Dawn - The adventures of Bella Swan continue in this fourth book of the Twilight series. This time, her romance with a supernatural creature threatens not only her own life but the life of someone very close to her. Since I don’t want to give anything away, that’s probably all I should say.
Midnight Sun - This novel was meant to revisit the events in the first Twilightbook from the perspective of Edward Cullen. After several chapters were illegally leaked on the Internet, the book was postponed indefinitely.
Twilight: The Complete Illustrated Movie Companion - This book contains behind-the-scenes information on the Twilight movie, including pictures and interviews.
The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide- A must-have for fans of the Twilightbooks. It contains character bios, maps and even genealogical charts. It functions as a complete guide to the world of Twilight.
