About Kolchak: The Night Stalker Guide

My name is Randy Ray, and I own and operate a bookstore with a horror theme in Texas. (You'll notice a link to Eerie Books in the copyright notice at the bottom of every page in this guide, and you'll also notice that this site resides in the "kolchak" subfolder of the eeriebooks.com website.) One of my business strategies is to provide substantial amounts of niche content for cult classic horror television shows, movies, and books. This guide to Kolchak: The Night Stalker is the 1st in a series of these guides.

I've written all the content on this site. I've been a fan of the original series since I was a kid, and I saw a lot of these episodes when they originally aired. (I'm 40, so I was only 4 or 5, but my mom was pretty cool about letting me watch such stuff.) And we never missed the re-runs either, when the show went into syndication.

I update the site as often as I can, but I'm more-or-less a one man show, and I operate multiple sites on multiple topics, so I might sometimes be a little slow in keeping any particular site up to date. I try to focus more on evergreen type content than news type content anyway, so that shouldn't be too big a deal.

I try to read at least 200 pages of good quality fiction every day, much of it horror-related, but I like all kinds of literature. I also try to see at least one movie at the theater every week. And I have 3 kids who I play with as much as possible too. I like all kinds of music, and I'm thinking about learning how to play an instrument, maybe the ukulele.

The Eerie Books website as a whole receives about 9000 visitors a month and 12,000 pageviews, but that's growing every month. The horror niche isn't nearly as large as the scifi and/or fantasy niches, but I enjoy being involved in the niche. We do link out to other interesting websites from our site, but we don't consider any of those outbound links to be testimonials. And we don't accept any responsibility for what you find on the other end of those links; websites get hijacked or go offline all the time.
