Kolchak: The Night Stalker Merchandise
If you're a Kolchak: The Night Stalker collector,
then this is the section of the site you'll be interested
in. We review various Kolchak: The Night Stalker
merchandise here.
Kolchak: The Night Stalker Episodes on DVD
Kolchak:
The Night Stalker is a five DVD set that became
available in 2005. It features all 20 episodes from the
original 2004 series. The retail price is $39.98.
The
Night Stalker/The Night Stranger (Double Feature) is a
DVD presentation of the two made-for-tv movies that started
the franchise in 1972 and 1973. It retails for $14.98.
Night
Stalker: The Complete Series is the DVD set for the 2005
ABC revamp of the series. This new version stars Stuart
Townsend as Carl Kolchak. Retails for $27.99.
Kolchak: The Night Stalker Posters and Photos
Several different photos and murals are available
featuring Kolchak: The Night Stalker. Here are some
of our favorites:
This
image is available as a mural for $124.99. The mural is 72
inches by 48 inches, so it's really big. It's also available
as just a photograph for $39.99, but that's only 30 inches
by 24 inches. As far as we're concerned, the mural is the
perfect gift for any fan of Kolchak: The Night Stalker.
This
24 by 30 inch photo of Darren McGavin is also available for
$39.99. I think it captures the somewhat whimsical nature of
his character Carl Kolchak perfectly.
This
photo of Carl Kolchak being stalked by an Indian is silly,
but if you want to be reminded of the silly, campy humor of
the show's later episodes, it's a perfect visual
representation. It's also available as a $39.99 photo that's
24 by 30 inches.
Kolchak: The Night Stalker Books
If
you're interested in collecting books related to Kolchak:
The Night Stalker, then the best place to start is with
The Kolchak Papers: The Original Novels. The original
made for tv movie was based on an unpublished novel called
The Kolchak Papers by Jeff Strand. The second made
for tv movie was novelized by Richard Matheson (who had
adapted the original novel into a screenplay for the 1st
movie.) This edition of the book retails for $16.95.
Kolchak:
The Night Stalker Chronicles is an anthology of 26
original short stories about Carl Kolchak written by noted
comic book authors like Mike W. Barr, Peter David, Max Allan
Collins, Chuck Dixon, and C.J. Henderson, among many others.
From Moonstone Press, this one's out of print.
Kolchak:
The Night Stalker Casebook is another must-have for
fans. The paperback is the 2nd collection of short stories
written about Carl Kolchak, and it includes stories by
notable authors like Christopher Golden, P.N. Elrod, John
Ostrander, and John Everson. Also from Moonstone Press.
Retails for $16.95.
The
Night Stalker Companion by Mark Dawidziak is a
nonfiction tome celebrating the 25th anniversary of Carl
Kolchak's first appearance on ABC. This one's from
Pomegranate Press, and like Kolchak: The Night Stalker
Chronicles, it's out of print but well worth looking
for. It's a heavily edited and revised version of
Dawidziak's earlier book...
Night
Stalking: A 20th Anniversary Kolchak Companion was Mark
Dawidziak's first edition of the above-mentioned The
Night Stalker Companion. It's also out of print and
quite collectible.
The
Kolchak Papers: Grave Secrets was a 1994 novel about
Carl Kolchak that was written by Mark Dawidziak with help
from Kolchak creator Jeff Strand. Image distributed few
copies of this book, so it's also out of print, hard to
find, and collectible.
